Lining up beside one of Australia's best

Local Club Racing

This morning saw Kenmore & NRG cycling club run a club xc race at Mt. Crosby. 4km circuit & we did 4 laps. It was great to see juniors (& seniors) out there today doing 2 or 3 laps. Natalie & I did the 35km ride to the event & 45kms to get home.
The atmosphere was awesome. Lots of really friendly & fun people.

I have no idea what place I came & the culture of the day was such it doesn't matter.

I have been training for long & consistient pace endurance racing. Today hurt more than 100kms + xc did last weekend. But the hurt was over very quickly.

I am really looking forward to getting my boys down for the next one & not race myself but escort Ty around for a couple of laps.

Proud Dad

The smile on this champions face says it all.

I did a couple of coaching sessions with Roadie Rob & passed on some of the skills to practice to my boys.

Keep up the awesome riding Ty!

Jax has since upgraded his racing machine to an XTC2. We made it a 'father & son' project & built the bike up over a short period of time.

Cycling is not Jax's passion. He is fast becoming a well establish & respected team member of his school volley ball team.

Keep up the awesome work Jax!

Mega Epic (Baby Croc) completed

Last weekend was the Mega Epic. 115kms on the Saturday, eat, sleep, wake up & do another 106kms on Sunday morning.

I am simply a passionate (some say obsessed) endurance mountain bike rider. However, being a part of the Mega Epic & lining up with the likes of Tim Bennett, Chris Jongewaard, Andrew Fellows, Craig Peacock & other world class mtb cyclists was an awesome feeling.

There were many physical, mental & emotional experiences both good & challanging for me during the weekend.

One of the best things about the mountain bike scene is the pre & post race catch ups. So I am always keen to share my experiences that may assist in your cycling.

Back into training. With less than 2 months until the Crocodile Trophy I have to take the next step up in my training.
